Pista Burfi

Pista Burfi is a popular Indian sweet made from pistachios, sugar, and milk or khoya (reduced milk). This rich and creamy dessert is known for its vibrant green color, which comes from the ground pistachios that form the base of the burfi. The mixture is cooked until it thickens to a fudge-like consistency, then spread out in a tray to set. Once set, it is cut into square or diamond shapes. Pista Burfi is often garnished with chopped pistachios and sometimes with edible silver foil (varak) for an added touch of elegance. It is a favorite during festivals and celebrations, cherished for its nutty flavor and smooth texture.
