WE ARE HIRING – CATERING & BAR MANAGER

Pooja Caterers is looking for an experienced, organised and motivated Catering & Bar Manager to join our team.

We cater for weddings, parties, corporate events and other special occasions and are looking for someone who can help manage our catering operations while maintaining excellent standards of food, service and customer experience.

Role & Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise catering operations for events, including menu selection, food preparation, and staffing.

• Work with clients to understand and customise menus for weddings, parties, corporate events, and other special occasions.

• Manage the purchase of ingredients, supplies, and packaging, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely availability.

• Supervise kitchen and catering staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

• Ensure that all food served meets high quality standards and complies with UK health and safety regulations.

• Monitor kitchens, preparation areas, and event setups to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

• Control inventory, minimise waste, and ensure adherence to budget.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Catering Manager, Bar Manager, Hospitality Manager or in a similar supervisory/management role.
• Good understanding of catering and hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to supervise and motivate a team.
• Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines and priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health and safety requirements.
• Knowledge and experience of Indian food and catering would be an advantage.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and busy event periods.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.

SKILLED WORKER SPONSORSHIP – CoS AVAILABLE

We can offer a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) to the right candidate, subject to meeting all applicable Skilled Worker visa requirements.

For this Catering & Bar Manager role, applications are particularly welcome from candidates who were already in the Skilled Worker route before 22 July 2025 and have held Skilled Worker permission continuously since then.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Manager at Pooja Caterers in Wellingborough.
