Gujarati Daal

Made from toor dal (split pigeon peas), this dal is flavored with a unique blend of spices, including mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves, and a touch of jaggery for sweetness. The dal is cooked until smooth and then tempered with a fragrant tadka (tempering) of spices in oil, giving it its distinctive flavor.
